Local Security Diagnosis Guinea-Bissau

This study in Guinea-Bissau was developed after a research work carried out by Professors Ana Isabel Sani and Laura M. Nunes, teachers at University Fernando Pessoa (UFP), centered on data gathered to build a Local Security Diagnosis in the Parish of Sé (Porto)

The coordination of the work was of the responsibility of the Police Administration Advisor, United Nations Integrated Peace-Building Office in Guinea-Bissau (UNIOGBIS), in collaboration with the UFP’s researchers.

The cooperation protocol between the UFP and the UN was signed in August 2012 and aimed to develop a Local Security Diagnosis in the Military Neighborhood Bissau, in order to create twelve model police stations in Guinea-Bissau. The research lasted 1 year and the final report was sent to the UN in May 2013.
