NanoLaseRelief: Integrating nanotechnologies in pain relief laser therapy of vascular lesions

The cutaneous vascular lesions are a common clinical condition characterized by vascular abnormalities that characterize the skin surface. The treatment of these injuries requires, in principle, laser therapy, sometimes intralesional corticosteroids or systemic, and ulcers treatment. A major problem with laser therapy is the pain reported by patients.

This project aims to develop an innovative strategy to reduce pain caused by the laser in the treatment of congenital and acquired lesions in patients of different ages. We propose the creation of intelligent biomaterials converging bottom-up and top-down technologies intended for pain relief during laser therapy.
