3ERL has laboratory facilities that are used not only for in-house research programmes but also to provide services to the industry. At present, these services include:

– Geological reservoirs evaluation and CO2 sequestration studies through determination gas sorption isotherms (with single or mixed gases).

– Modelling of gas reservoirs, both for CBM and shale gas exploration, and CO2 geologic sequestration.

– Several analytical determinations (natural gas content (Q2 and Q3) and molar composition, 3 D coal cleat system) in rock samples for the purpose of fossil fuels prospecting and exploring.
