Facial Emotion Expression Lab

Objectives:
– Conduct research projects, development and demonstrations
– Promote collaboration with other universities and institutions of innovation and development
– Encourage the publication of the work in scientific journals
– Organize scientific meetings
– Contribute to training of teachers and students
– Promote the organization of doctoral and master dissertations and monographs
– Encourage the creation of graduate programs
– Make contracts and consulting services to public and private organizations
– Promote the UFP in the Facial Expression of Emotion and Positive Psychology areas.

About:
The Facial Emotion Expression Lab (FEELab) was founded in 2003 by Professor Freitas-Magalhães, and is the only of its kind in Portugal.
It is an autonomous unit of RD&I from the Faculty of Health Sciences, at University Fernando Pessoa, whose mission is to create new scientific knowledge on human emotions and their forms of social expression, including interactions with health, justice, psychosocial development and intercultural context.
It has also been honored by several national and international organizations for pioneering and innovation of its scientific work.
FEELab has developed more than 250 empirical studies, created 30 platforms, established 50 international partnerships, participated in 70 national and international conferences.
