Prof. João Casqueira, Associate Professor at University Fernando Pessoa, has been elected to EMUNI’s Senate, and is now the Portuguese representative in this body. The composition of the Senate takes into consideration the study areas and scientific disciplines, as well as guarantees the representation of all members of the Union for the Mediterranean.

The EMUNI University, of which UFP is a member, is an international association of universities with headquarters in Slovenia. EMUNI, one of the priority projects of the Union for the Mediterranean, gathers expert knowledge and experience of the Euro-Mediterranean countries and thus contributes in a significant way to the creation of a unified, integrated Euro-Mediterranean higher education and research area.
