The University Fernando Pessoa (UFP) Ambulatory Project of Oral and Public Health (PASOP) celebrated its 20th anniversary in May 2013.
With UFP’s Rector, Prof. Salvato Trigo, as its mentor, PASOP is the embodiment of the University’s humanitarian, teaching and community intervention philosophy, whilst providing students a direct contact with different social realities.
PASOP is supported by a scientific framework, with more than 130,000 screenings in its database, and aims to “help people become aware of their state of health” according to its manager Jacinto Durães.
PASOP has had a remarkable experience in Angola and its yellow trucks have travelled over 62 districts in mainland Portugal.
